Weekly Summary – June 22, 2026

Exile has been busy celebrating milestones and overcoming technical challenges. Emphasizing community and sharing, they’re fostering meaningful connections through music, stories, and discussions. Exciting times ahead!

Here’s a summary of the past couple weeks at Exile.

I was out of town a couple weeks ago celebrating 38 years of marriage and both mine and my wife’s 60th birthdays. Posting was light that week. Here’s a pic:

Thanks to Candi for responding to the question of What is your favorite worship song? It can be a modern song..an older song or a hymn..and why? She said… “The Old Rugged Cross. I love the meaning behind the song”. The beloved gospel hymn “The Old Rugged Cross” was written by Methodist evangelist George Bennard. He composed the first version in 1912 and completed the final verses in 1913. This makes me think about the timelessness and power of music.

This past week, I shared some thoughts about formation at Exile. We are on a journey, and we are just getting started. One of the really important parts of what we want to be is a place for people to share and discuss their experiences and questions.
