Everyone has a story. Everyone has something to offer. And everyone can make a difference.

Spotlight is an Exile Faith initiative built around a simple idea: When we take time to notice others, listen to their stories, and respond with compassion, we can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Through Spotlight, we share the stories of real people – their journeys, challenges, needs, and hopes. Sometimes we’ll tell their stories on their behalf, and other times you’ll hear directly from them.

But Spotlight is about more than sharing stories. It’s about turning compassion into action.

We invite you to become part of someone’s story through prayer, financial support, practical assistance, or simply offering encouragement and friendship. We’ll also provide updates on the impact of that care, celebrating what happens when people come together to make a difference.

Beyond Spotlight: Making Care a Way of Life
Our hope is that Spotlight inspires something beyond the stories we feature.

We believe everyone has something to offer. You don’t need a title, a platform, or a lot of resources to make a difference. Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness have the greatest impact.

We want to encourage each person in Exile to become more intentional about noticing the people around them—neighbors, friends, coworkers, or even strangers who might need someone to care.

Who in your life could use a little care right now, and what could you do about it?

Jesus taught us to love our neighbors, and Spotlight is one way we’re learning to put that love into practice.

“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18 (NIV)

Spotlight is about seeing people, sharing their stories, demonstrating care, and inspiring others to do the same.

Because being a community isn’t just about what we believe or what we say. It’s about how we love and care for one another.
